About Dr. Michael Hollifield

For approximately 20 years, Dr. Michael Hollifield has played an important role in the Gainesville, Georgia, community. The recipient of a doctor of medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, he serves as a senior partner with Gainesville Emergency Department Services, P.C., and an attending emergency physician at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Emergency Department. In addition to training medical students and physician assistants, Dr. Michael Hollifield diagnoses and treats patients of all ages.

Along with practicing emergency medicine, Dr. Michael Hollifield contributes to his profession in multiple ways. A member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, he functions as a national oral board examiner in emergency medicine for the American Board of Physician Specialties. He also volunteers his services at local clinics. Dr. Hollifield’s additional civic involvement includes past service as a volunteer firefighter, and a member of Divers Alert Network, which runs educational campaigns related to scuba diving safety and features a network of medical practitioners trained in underwater injuries.
